There’s also plenty to do for local senior citizens every day at the Hilton Senior Center, and on hot, humid days, the activities might be just the thing to keep cool.

Play Mah Jongg, Tuesdays at 11:30 p.m. Players are always welcome. Some experience is needed, but all are welcome.

Join the Quilters Group, which meets Tuesdays at noon; no need to bring supplies, just bring yourself.

Cribbage players meet Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. for a fun session. Join current players and learn to play regardless of experience.

On Wednesdays at noon, join in for a light workout with Wii bowling. It improves balance, endurance, range of motion and sequencing abilities. Wii offers a welcome reprieve from a sedentary lifestyle, and boosts hand-eye coordination in a way that bingo and cards can’t.

Join in the knitting, crocheting, pretty punching, socializing and refreshments when Crafts and Chat meets Thursdays at 9 a.m. Plenty of supplies and yarn available and lots of fun.
