The following items were recorded in the Newburyport police log:

Jonathan P. Newton, 40, no fixed address, was arrested Saturday at 6:30 p.m. and charged with shoplifting. Officers Shawn Eaton and Charles Ferlauto made the arrest at CVS Pharmacy, Pond Street.

John Skinner, 52, 3 11th St., Newbury, was arrested Monday at 1:36 p.m. and charged with a previous warrant and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license (subsequent offense). Officers John Schmidt and Megan Muldowney made the arrest on Ashland Street.


The following items were recorded in the Amesbury police log:

David M. Dow, 31, 51A Worthey Ave., Seabrook, was issued a summons Friday at 4:27 p.m. on a charge of operating a motor vehicle with license/right to drive suspended. Officers Thomas Nichols and Jonathan Morrill issued the summons on Macy Street.

Timothy LeClair, 22, 1 Depot Road, East Kingston, N.H.; and Corey T. Bilodeau, 18, 14 Lincoln Court, Amesbury; were arrested Friday at 9:32 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct. Officers David Noyes, Michael Purvis and Kevin Mulrenin made the arrests at Richdale on Friend Street.

Andrew J. Beaton, 24, 45 Ferry Road, Salisbury, was issued a summons Friday at 11:46 a.m. on charges of an equipment violation and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration. Officer Noyes issued the summons on Main Street.

Peter Waterman, 39, 22 Beacon St,. Amesbury, was issued a summons Saturday at 6:52 p.m. on a charge of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. Officer Nichols issued the summons on Merrimac Street.

Natalia Aliza Silva, 26, 1 Arlington St., No. 13, Amesbury, was arrested Saturday at 7:50 p.m. and charged with possession of a class A substance and license not in possession. Officers Nichols, Noyes and Mulrenin made the arrest on Route 150.

Blaine R. Smith, 48, 3 Whitewood Circle, Amesbury, was arrested Saturday at 10:06 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol (second offense) and assault and battery. Officers Carl Lesage and Mulrenin made the arrest on Chapman Way.
