Library programs for teens, 'tweens

NEWBURYPORT — The Newburyport Public Library will hold several programs for ‘tweens and teens this month. For more information, call teen librarian Jessica Hilbun at 978-465-4428 ext. 246.

Teen Crafternoon: What You’ve Been Missing

Friday, 3 to 4:30 p.m., Children’s Activity Room

Take a crafting class and learn how to make safety pin bracelets, DIY coasters, painted flower pots and more. This free program is sponsored by the Friends of the Newburyport Public Library.

Give Peeps a Chance: Peep Diorama Building for Teens

Monday, May 20, 3 to 4:30 p.m., Friday, May 31, 3 to 4:30 p.m.; Children’s Activity Room

Teens, are you creative? Do you love puns? Do you have a sweet tooth? Then you have what it takes to build a peep diorama! Peep-le are always surprised by just how much you can do with these marshmallow creatures. Registration is required. Call 978-465-4428, ext. 246 to sign up. Participants must be in grades 4 to 12. This free program is sponsored by the Friends of the Newburyport Public Library.
