Yule Fair, bean supper this weekend

Two fun community events take place tomorrow. From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Trinity United Church hosts its Annual Yule Fair at the Parish House across from Town Hall. The fair features local crafters, bake sale, raffles and a lunch counter. For good little children, Santa Claus is expected to drop by.

From 4:30 to 6 p.m., the Rand Church Ladies Aid hosts its monthly bean supper at the church at 134 South Main St., The menu will consist of hot dogs, ham and beans, potato salad and coleslaw, along with homemade desserts including Indian pudding. The cost is $8 per adult and $4 per child.

Historic stone wall restoration will be the topic of a presentation at Seabrook Library on Thursday, Nov. 15, at 6:30 p.m. It will be presented by Kevin Gardner, the author of “The Granite Kiss: Traditions and Techniques of Building New England Stone Walls.”

Gardner and his family have been building and restoring antique stone walls and other structures for many years, and their work has been featured in exhibits at the New Hampshire Historical Society, and they also were invited to participate in the Smithsonian’s American Folklife Festival in Washington, D.C., in 1999.

This event is free and open to the public.

Seabrook Happy Senior Citizens will host two events for the holiday season.

Thursday, Nov. 29, the group offers HukeLau Christmas Show and Bright Nights. Cost is $30. Bus leaves at 8:30 a.m. from the Community Center. Contact Helen for more information and to make reservations at 603-474-8932.

Tuesday, Dec. 4, Happy Senior Citizens will host its Annual Holiday Banquet at the Old Salt Restaurant in Hampton. Cost: $25. Contact Irene at 603-474-3274 for reservations.
