Some sad news out of downtown this week, as Lisa McNulty, who runs The Fashion Bus Stop on Friend Street, announced that she is closing the store due to an ongoing illness.
“It is with great sadness that due to illness I am forced to close The Fashion Bus Stop,” McNulty wrote in a Facebook post announcing the closure. “Thank you to everyone who supported both me and the store. It was a pleasure getting to know each and every one of you.”
The Fashion Bus Stop has been a popular destination downtown since it opened nearly two years ago, and prior to that McNulty operated her fashion and accessory business out of an actual bus. Upon making the announcement, more than 50 friends, customers and fellow downtown business owners reached out to wish her well, and McNulty said she hopes to get better so she can continue to do what she loves.
The following meetings are scheduled this week and are open to the public:
School Committee Policy Subcommittee, 8 a.m., Amesbury High School, Superintendent’s Office.
Mayor Ken Gray’s office hour, 11 a.m., DPW Office, 39 South Hunt Road, Conference Room.
