ConCom approves deck work at Michael's

NEWBURYPORT — The Conservation Commission recently approved a plan to rebuild a deck over the river at Michael’s Harborside.

Chris Skima, an executive with Newburyport Development LLC, had requested permission as part of a refurbishment initiative to begin this spring.

Officials said old pilings will removed, and about 15 new pilings will be added to permit reworking the portion of the structure that juts out from the restaurant.
