Church notes

‘Son of Man’ series offered

Seeds of Hope Mission Church is presenting a six-week series, “Son of Man,” based off the movie “Son of God.” This will run tomorrow through April 13, Palm Sunday. Along with this the church is offering to all communities a Bible study written by Rick Warren, “The Life of Jesus In You.” This also begins March 9 at 12:30 p.m. at the church. March Madness at thrift shop

Belleville Church Thrift Shop, 300 High St., Newburyport, is holding its own March Madness. People are invited to come and fill a bag of clothing, linens, shoes and handbags for $5. The shop is open Wednesday and Saturday, 9 a.m. to noon.

Lenten services at Immaculate Conception Parish

Eucharistic Adoration in St. James Chapel: During Lent the Friday time of Eucharistic Adoration will conclude at 11:30 a.m. because of the 12:05 Liturgy.

Stations of the Cross: Friday evenings at 7 in the church. Many parishioners remember the Stations of the Cross as a regular part of Lenten Devotions. Join us as we meditate on the Passion and Death of Jesus in prayer and simple song.

Liturgy: During Lent there will be two daily liturgies Monday through Friday: 7:15 a.m. and 12:05 p.m.

‘Light Is on for You’: Wednesday evenings, beginning March 12, confessions will be offered from 6:30-8 p.m. in addition to the Saturday times.
