NEWBURYPORT: The following cases were recorded at Newburyport District Court on Friday, March 7, with Judge Mary McCabe presiding over the jury-waived trials.

Greg Harden, 43, 26 Beach Road, Salisbury; assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, continued without finding and probation for one year conditioned upon no abuse of family members, remaining drug and alcohol free, submit to counseling for mental health and parenting and anger issues, completion of office of community corrections level II, Victim Witness Fund (VWF) assessment, $90; domestic assault and battery, continued without finding and probation for one year; assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, continued without finding and probation for one year (Salisbury).

Patrick Fields, 24, 1 Greenleaf Park, Apt C, Merrimac; assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, continued without finding and probation for one year conditioned upon counseling and anger management, staying away from and having no contact with the victim and write letter of apology, payment of restitution $840.22, VWF, $90; witness intimidation, continued without finding and probation for one year (Merrimac).

Ryan Cheek, 36, 31 William St., Medford; driving while under the influence of alcohol, continued without a finding and probation for one year conditioned upon completion of an alcohol safety awareness program, 45-day loss of license; $250, Head Injury Fund (HIF); $50, VWF; $250, Operating Under Intoxication fee; $50, Operating Under Intoxication Victim Fund assessment; marked lanes violation, not responsible (Newbury).

Derian Smollinski,19, 28 Burley Avenue, Danvers; negligent driving, admission to sufficient facts, continued without finding and probation for six months conditioned upon completion of the State Courts Against Road Rage and half day Brains at Risk programs; $250, HIF; $50, VFW; racing a motor vehicle, continued without finding and probation for six months (Newbury).
