Volunteer needed for Meals on Wheels

The town’s Meals on Wheels program is in need of a volunteer driver for Friday morning deliveries. The driver will spend about three hours delivering 18 to 20 meals to housebound seniors. A stipend is given for gas. Volunteers can work every other week, but must have a car and a valid license. CORI checks are required.

Call the Rowley Council on Aging at 978-948-7637 and ask for Mary Mighill.

Library expands museum pass offerings

Thanks to the support of the Friends of the Rowley Library and the Rowley Cultural Council, the Rowley Library was able to purchase additional memberships to regional cultural attractions this year. This allows anyone with a library card to check out a pass for discounted admission to the Boston Children’s Museum, Museum of Science, Peabody Essex Museum, Museum of Fine Arts, and Zoo New England, good at both the Stone Zoo and Franklin Park Zoo. With the pass, admission ranges from $2 to $5 per person, depending on the institution. The library will also offer the Free State Parks Parking Pass again this year. Call 978-948-2850 for more information or to make a reservation before your next day trip. This program is supported in part by a grant from the Rowley Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
