Introduction to Easter worship for children, families

Would you like the children in your life to know what Easter is really about? First Parish Church of Newbury, 20 High Road, Route 1A, is offering “All Around Easter,” a two-part introduction for children and families. Children, grades 1-5 will participate with a small group, moving from skit to skit. There will be hands-on activities, music and video. Adults may join their kids in the fellowship hall for “All Around Easter” or attend worship upstairs in the sanctuary. Times: 9:45 a.m. to 11 a.m. on April 6 and again April 13. Each Sunday will feature a different presentation. Program is free. Call 978-462-4250 for more information.

Passover Seder at Market Street Baptist

Market Street Baptist Church, 37 Market St., Amesbury, will host a Passover Encounter Seder Supper on Wednesday, April 16, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Nathan Joiner, assistant to the rabbi at Ruach Israel, Needham, will lead the group step by step throught the meal. This is an opportunity to experience the supper that Jesus and His disciples would have enjoyed together and to see how Christ is the Passover Lamb. This event is open to the public. Lenten book discussion at Belleville church

A Lenten book discussion: “A Religion of One’s Own: A Guide to Creating a Personal Spirituality in a Secular World” by Thomas Moore, will be held at Belleville Congregational Church on Thursdays at 6:15 p.m. and Sundays at 11:30 a.m. in the parlor through April 10. The church is located at 300 High St., Newburyport.

Lenten services at Immaculate Conception Parish

Eucharistic Adoration in St. James Chapel: During Lent the Friday time of Eucharistic Adoration will conclude at 11:30 a.m. because of the 12:05 Liturgy.

Stations of the Cross: Friday evenings at 7 in the church. Many parishioners remember the Stations of the Cross as a regular part of Lenten Devotions. Join us as we meditate on the Passion and Death of Jesus in prayer and simple song.
