Craft & Gift Festival at Austin Preparatory School

The annual Craft and Gift Festival is Saturday, Sept. 28, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the school’s gymnasium, 101 Willow St., Reading. The festival attracts hundreds of people every year who are looking for jewelry, cards, home decor items, handbags, gift baskets and many other goods. The festival also features bake and flower sales and raffle prizes.

The event is organized by the Friends of Austin, a volunteer parent group, and serves as a fundraiser for the school. All proceeds benefit Austin Prep. Questions may be directed to FriendsOfAPS@gmail.com.

Open house at St. John’s Prep

St. John’s Prep in Danvers will hold admission open houses on Sunday, Sept. 29, at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., and Saturday, Oct. 19, at 9 a.m., 10 a.m., and 11 a.m. All open house sessions will begin in Brother Benjamin Hall on the Prep campus at 72 Spring St. in Danvers. Seventh- and eighth-grade students and families interested in learning more about the high school program at St. John’s will have the opportunity to learn about the academic programs, explore co-curricular opportunities, and take part in student-led tours of the school’s 175-acre campus. Faculty, coaches, parents, current students and some representatives of the school’s clubs and organizations will be on hand to answer questions.

Discounted advance ticket sale at Topsfield Fair

Through Oct. 3, Topsfield Fair discounted advance tickets will be on sale. The discounted advance sale price is $9 per ticket, or $8 per ticket if bought in a bundle over 100. This year’s Topsfield Fair will be held from Oct. 4-14.

Lockhart returns to the Merrimack Valley for NECC fundraiser

Save the date to see Keith Lockhart and Friends on Saturday, Sept. 28, at 7:30 p.m. at the Collins Center for the Performing Arts at Andover High School in Andover. This event is presented by the Northern Essex Community College Foundation, Inc., the Women of NECC, and the NECC Alumni Association. Proceeds from this NECC signature event will benefit NECC’s Endowment Fund.
