SUNDAY MORNING AT SPENCER-PIERCE-LITTLE FARM IN NEWBURY

Tomorrow, 8:30 to 10:30 a.m.

Fee: $20

Meet at the end of Little’s Lane in Newbury. Look for the Newburyport Birders’ sign.

The group will walk the agricultural fields in search of American Pipits, Snow Buntings, Horned Larks, sparrows and hawks.

Directions: In Newbury Center, head south on Route 1A and continue through the only set of lights. Then take your first left onto Little’s Lane.

WINGS ALONG THE MERRIMACK RIVER

Sunday, Oct. 13, 3 p.m. to dusk

Fee: $20

Meet at the end of Coffin Street in West Newbury. Look for the Newburyport Birders’ sign.

Search for birds along the Merrimack River in West Newbury. The lower Merrimack is swift moving and provides habitat for many species of birds.The group will discuss the physical adaptations and field marks of the birds encountered. Wear boots as this area can be wet.

Monday, Oct. 14, 3 p.m. to dusk

Fee: $20

Morning Birding at Cherry Hill (Indian Hill) Reservoir

Meet at the first parking area you encounter on Moulton Street in West Newbury. Look for the Newburyport Birders’ sign. The Cherry Hill (Indian Hill) Reservoir is a perfect setting for fall waterfowl. This public water source hosts an assortment of waterfowl.

On the Wing

Dates: Saturday, Oct. 26, 3 p.m. to dusk

Fee: $20

Meet at the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge at parking lot 1.
