The victim managed to escape without further injury and called police from her neighbor’s house. By that time, Mason had fled the scene on a bicycle. Local police, aided by Amesbury police officer Thomas Nichols and his K-9 Kaybar, searched the trailer park area and the Lake Attitash area to no avail. An arrest warrant was then issued for Mason, who was spotted by police on East Main Street Sunday around 4:30 p.m. and apprehended without incident, according to police.
