Phabulous Photo Weekend, Oct. 18 through Oct. 20
Phabulous Photo Weekend is an annual multi-day event chock-full of free, fun nature and wildlife photography-related activities conducted at the visitor center and on the refuge. The event is held every October in celebration of National Wildlife Refuge week. Sponsored by the refuge, the Photographic Society of the refuge, Hunt’s Photo, and the Friends of Parker River National Wildlife Refuge, the 2013 Phabulous Photo Weekend will offer a great mix of things to see and do including narrated presentations by professional photographers, guided photo shoots on the refuge, opportunities to learn about the latest gear from leading photography equipment manufacturers, and an exhibit featuring beautiful photographic prints that have been entered into the refuge’s 2013 photo contest. Climate Change in New England: Past, Present, and Future
Monday, Oct. 21, 7 to 8:30 p.m.
This free evening program will be presented in the refuge’s visitor center auditorium by Dr. Cameron Wake, research associate professor, climatology and glaciology, University of New Hampshire. This presentation is one in a series of sea level rise related programs that is being sponsored this fall by Storm Surge – The Merrimack Valley Coastal Adaptation Work Group. Registration is not required.
