All Saints' to welcome new priest Nov. 3

WEST NEWBURY — The members of All Saints’ Episcopal Church will officially welcome their new, permanent priest, the Rev. Derrick Muwina, on Sunday, Nov. 3, at the service of Holy Eucharist at 10 a.m.

Muwina earned his diploma in religious studies and his certificate in theological studies at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Seminary in Kitwe, Zambia. He received his bachelor’s degree in theology (cum laude) at the University of Western Cape, Cape Town, South Africa. He earned a master’s of theological studies from the Episcopal Divinity School in Cambridge, and a master’s of sacred theology from Boston University. He is a candidate for a doctor of theology at Boston University.

Muwina will preach and celebrate the Eucharist, and a celebratory luncheon will follow in St. John’s Hall. The members of All Saints’ invite friends, neighbors and the community to share this occasion with them, as they welcome their new priest and his family. Church and Sunday School begin at 10 a.m.
