---- — MERRIMAC — The following programs are offered at the Merrimac Public Library:
Mom & Me Playtime — Tuesdays through Nov. 12 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. This is an opportunity for parents with infants and toddlers up to age 2 to connect with others in the community in an unstructured and fun environment. Mom & Me is a drop-in group, and registration is not required to attend (older siblings welcome too!).
Halloween Craft Workshop — Drop by the Children’s Room on Monday, Oct. 28, anytime between 1 and 4 p.m. to make a fun Halloween craft. Registration is not required. This program is open to children ages 3 and up.
Clayworks with Ann McCrea —Thursday, Nov. 7, from 4-5:15 p.m. McCrea reads the story, “The Tale of Rabbit and Coyote” by Tony Johnson, then teaches the children how to sculpt either a rabbit or coyote out of clay. This Mexican trickster tale tells the story of a wily Rabbit who outwits Coyote several times before escaping permanently by climbing to the moon. Stop by the children’s room or call 978-346-9441 to register a child. This free program is open to children in grades 1-6.
Atticus — Thursday, Nov. 7, from 4-5 p.m. The Merrimac Public Library and Merrimac Senior Center will be hosting a performance by character actor Richard Clark. Atticus Finch steps from the pages of “To Kill a Mockingbird” and brings to life the tragedy and triumph of Harper Lee’s classic novel in this riveting one-man show. This free performance is open to the public.
