Lenten book discussion at Belleville church

A Lenten book discussion: “A Religion of One’s Own: A Guide to Creating a Personal Spirituality in a Secular World” by Thomas Moore, will be held at Belleville Congregational Church on Thursdays at 6:15 p.m. and Sundays at 11:30 a.m. in the parlor through April 10. The church is located at 300 High St., Newburyport.

Bean Supper at St. James April 12

St. James Episcopal Church, 119 Washington St., Groveland, is having a Bean Supper on Saturday, April 12, from 4 to 6 p.m. Good food and amazing desserts. Adults, $8; children under 12, $4.

Rummage Sale at Belleville Church

A Rummage Sale will be held Saturday, April 12, 9 a.m.-1 p.m., at Belleville Church, 300 High St.

Reclaiming the promise of Vatican II

The Rev. Kenneth R. Himes, associate professor, Boston College School of Theology, will speak on the topic, “Vatican II and a Biblical Model of the Moral Life” on Sunday, April 13, from 7-9 p.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Church Hall, 1 Margin St., Peabody. This presentation is sponsored by the Voice of the Faithful North Shore – Seacoast Affiliate in collaboration with Boston College School of Theology and Ministry.

Caregivers Lunch at Market Street Baptist

The Market Street Baptist Church at 37 Market Street, Amesbury invites the public to attend a Caregivers Lunch on Saturday, April 26, from noon to 2 p.m.

This event is for those who have been called to care for ailing loved ones to connect with other caregivers and to hear from the experiences of others. Ruth John will share her experiences and wisdom as a caregiver for 20 years.
