Yard sale today at Belleville Congregational

A yard sale will be held inside, rain or shine, today from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Belleville Congregational Church, 300 High St., Newburyport.

Strawberry Fair today

A Strawberry Fair will be held today from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at Merrimacport United Methodist Church. There will be lots of great food including lobster rolls and strawberry shortcake. In addition, there will be free kids crafts, face painting and games. The church is located at 39 High St., at the corner of River Road (just up from Broad Street). Yard sale at Seeds of Hope Mission Church

Seeds of Hope Mission Church will hold a yard sale today from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 40 Whittier St., Amesbury.

MacDonald to speak at Hope Community

Gordon MacDonald, former pastor of Grace Chapel in Lexington and current chancellor of Denver Seminary, will be speaking at Hope Community Church tomorrow at 9:30 a.m. MacDonald is a sought-after conference speaker and prolific author who will address the challenges facing the church in New England, where he presently resides. He has helped direct several major evangelical ministries, including World Vision, Christianity Today and InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. Hope Community Church is located at 11 Hale St. in Newburyport.

Summer services at Central Congregational

Central Congregational Church, 14 Titcomb St., Newburyport, will hold services at 9:30 a.m. beginning tomorrow through Sept. 1. On Sept. 8 worship will resume at 10:30 a.m.
