Church Youth Group hosts Super Sub Day

The Youth Group at First Congregational Church of Georgetown is sponsoring a Super Sub Day on Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 3. The cost is $7 per sandwich and includes a choice of turkey, ham or Italian; cheese and condiments. Orders will be taken until Feb. 1 by contacting the church office at 978 352-8443. Sandwiches will be ready for pick-up on Feb. 3 by or after 4 p.m., but can also be delivered to any residence in Georgetown. Cash or checks made payable to First Congregational Church accepted.

All proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit the community food pantry at the First Congregational Church of Georgetown. Contact the church for more information and to place an orders.

Lamb shank dinner at Green church

The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 7 Harris St., Newburyport, is serving a hearty winter lamb shank dinner on Saturday, Feb. 2 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The menu will include braised lamb shank with special Greek sauce over orzo, salad and bread, with baklava for dessert. Women’s, men’s Bible study groups meet

St. James Episcopal Church, 120 Main St., Amesbury has a Bible study group, “The Women of Faith,” that meets every other Thursday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Check the website for meeting dates. On Saturday Morning, join the Men’s Group for enlightening conversation and readings of the Bible. The Men’s Group meets on Saturdays at 9 a.m. Both Bible Study groups are open to the public.
