'Noises Off' on Newburyport High stage

NEWBURYPORT — The Newburyport High School Theatre Department presents the comedy “Noises Off” opening tomorrow at Newburyport High School, 241 High St. Performances continue on Saturday; Thursday, Feb. 14; and Friday, Feb. 15, all at 7 p.m.

Called the funniest farce ever written, the show spotlights a manic menagerie as a cast of itinerant actors rehearse a flop called “Nothing’s On.” Doors slamming, backstage intrigue and an errant herring all figure in the plot of this classic comical play.

The Newburyport High cast includes Daniel Alvarez de Toledo, Colin Budzyna, Annie Kate Gross, Lily McCloud, Will Mombello, Anna Moore, Lydia Tomlinson, Jogis Vainauskas and Clayton Vye.

Tickets are $8 for students, $10 for general admission. Tickets can be ordered by emailing nhstheatre@newburyport.k12.ma.us. For more information, contact Stephanie Williams at swilliams@newburyport.k12.ma.us or visit www.facebook.com/NoisesOffNHS.
