---- — Nature Kids at Refuge Tuesday

Parker River National Wildlife Refuge will hold a Nature Kids program on Tuesday from 11 a.m. to noon.

Participants should meet at the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge headquarters, 6 Plum Island Turnpike, Newburyport. The topic of the program will be “Backyard Birds.” Children will learn how to identify common birds, what makes birds unique, and the different adaptations that birds have depending on their habitat.

The program is free. Registration is required. Call 978-465-5753 for more information or to register. Registration is not complete until a confirmation call is received.

Eco-Games Free-for-All

Mass Audubon’s Joppa Flats Education Center will swim with family fun about the sea on Sunday, March 24 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Eco-Games Free-for-All is a full day of activities centered around ocean creatures from whales to sea turtles. The group will discuss ocean facts from shorebird protection to sea level rise. Participants will also learn about ocean sustainability and conservation efforts on the coast with fun, informative activities like fishing simulations, solar boat model building, and art projects.

The free event for all ages will be held rain or shine at Joppa Flats Education Center, One Plum Island Turnpike, Newburyport.
