Programs at Mass Audubon's Joppa Flats

Mass Audubon’s Joppa Flats Education Center, located at One Plum Island Turnpike in Newburyport, is a natural history education and visitor center that is open to the public Tuesday through Sunday and Monday holidays, 8:30 to 4 p.m.

SATURDAY MORNING BIRDING

Join experienced leaders in a search for avian activity in Newburyport and Plum Island. For beginners and birders of all skill levels.

Today, 9 to 11:30 a.m.

Meet at Joppa Flats Education Center, One Plum Island Turnpike, Newburyport.

Fee: $10 adults; $7 children ages 8 and older. Registration is not required.

WEDNESDAY MORNING BIRDING

Join Joppa Flats Sanctuary Director Bill Gette and USFWS veteran David Weaver for a weekly birding field trip in the Newburyport/Plum Island area. Appropriate for all birding levels.

Wednesday, March 20, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Meet at the Joppa Flats Education Center, One Plum Island Turnpike, Newburyport.

Fee: $17. Registration is not required.

AFTERSCHOOL AT JOPPA: CREATURES OF THE NIGHT!

Children in grades 1 to 4 are invited to engage in wildlife learning experiences with a different theme each week. Come for one or sign up for the series.
