Field of five vying for two selectmen's seats


Kids can sign up for a library card (with valid photo ID of a parent or guardian), and learn more about the children’s programs. There will also be a chance to visit the Children’s Room and meet Joan Cox, the children’s librarian.

Families are invited to drop by and check out a book or DVD, pick up a museum pass brochure or just get an idea of the resources the library offers to the young people of the community.


A Rabies Vaccination and Microchip Clinic sponsored by the Merrimack River Feline Rescue Society will be held Saturday, March 23, from 9 a.m. to noon at Tom’s Discount at 175 Elm St. The clinic offers rabies shots for $5 per dog or cat and microchip insertion at $20 per pet.


The Salisbury Assisted Living Center is offering entertainment this month in its Piano Cabaret Lounge. Jason Weber is performing Thursday, March 21, and Rob Dionne is at the keys on Monday, March 25. Show times are at 1 p.m. For more information, call 978-463-9809.


Alternative housing options for senior citizens will be the topic of a discussion on Wednesday, March 27, at noon at the Hilton Center on Lafayette Road. The seminar is presented by the Salisbury Council on Aging. Reservations can be made by calling 978-462-2412.
