Democratic Town Committee to meet

The Newbury Democratic Town Committee will hold its monthly meeting on Wednesday, March 20, at 7 p.m., at the Newbury Public Library in Byfield.

The meeting is open to any registered Democrat in Newbury. The group welcomes inquiries from those seeking to become a member or friend of the committee. In addition, members invite anyone interested in helping with the get-out-the-vote effort for the primary election on April 30 and electing a Democrat to the U.S. Senate in the June 25 special election to contact them.

Toddler play groups welcoming youngsters

Openings are currently available for children ages 18 to 30 months old in toddler play groups at Newbury Elementary School, 63 Hanover St., Newbury. The groups offer children an opportunity to socialize and interact with other youngsters within a structured setting while being supervised by an experienced, certified early childhood specialist. It also offers parents a chance to meet and talk with other parents who may share similar interests.

The groups meet Monday and Wednesday mornings from 9 to 11 and Fridays from 9:15 to 11:15 a.m. and are open to residents of Newbury, Salisbury, Byfield, Rowley and the surrounding area.
