Police Logs


The following item was recorded in the Newburyport police log:

Jena Bertone, 22, 7 North Martin Road, Amesbury, was arrested Sunday at 12:42 a.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, marked lanes, leaving scene of personal injury and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. Officers Gregory Whitney, Jason Kohan and Sgt. Stephen Chaisson made the arrest following a motor vehicle accident on Merrimac Street.


The following items were recorded in the Amesbury police log:

Laura Francis Riley, 48, 1 Brown Ave., No. 80, Amesbury, was arrested Friday at 11:13 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol and marked lanes. Officers David Noyes and Craig and Carl Lesage made the arrest on Whitehall Road.

Charles E. Reinstein, 32, 487 South Main St., Brewer, Maine, was issued a summons Saturday at 5:39 p.m. on a charge of possession of a class B substance. Officers Noyes and Thomas Nichols issued the summons on Interstate 495 north.

Leonard J. Poole, 47, 20 Melissa Drive, Pembroke, N.H., was arrested Saturday at 9:33 p.m. and charged with disturbing the peace. Officers Nichols, Noyes, Jonathan Morrill, Kevin Mulrenin, Sgt. Glenn Chaput and Lauren Tirone made the arrest after responding to a large party inside the Fairfield Inn by Marriott at Clarks Road.


The following items were recorded in the Salisbury police log:

Scott A. McAuley, 36, 92 Prospect St., Amesbury, was issued a summons Friday at 9:46 p.m. on charges of speeding and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. Officers Jeremy Kelley and Michael Tullercash made the arrest on Pike Street.

Ronald J. Allard, 45, 64 Pike St., Salisbury, was issued a summons Saturday at 7:33 p.m. on a charge of disorderly conduct. Officers Brian Smith and Daniel McNeil issued the summons on Toll Road.

Robert G. Kastanko, 63, 26 Boynton Lane, Seabrook, was arrested Sunday at 9:26 a.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. Officer Richard Dellaria made the arrest on Bridge Road.
