NEWBURYPORT: The following jury-waived trials were recorded Friday, Sept. 20, at Newburyport District Court with Judge Peter Doyle presiding:

Sophear Pheang, 27, 150 Shaw St., Lowell; operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, six months pretrial probation, $50 Victims Witness Fund (VWF); equipment violation, not responsible; child under 8 years old not in car seat, responsible, filed (Amesbury).

Robert N. Bailey, 77, 21 Clarks Road, No. 103, Amesbury; negligent operation of a motor vehicle, guilty, six months house of correction, suspended for a year, $250 Head Injury Fund (HIF), $50 VWF; complete State Courts Against Road Rage course; failure to drive in right lane, not responsible; marked lanes, responsible filed; speeding, responsible, filed (Merrimac).

Zachary Barnes, 19, 39 Fellows Road, Ipswich; possession of a class D substance to distribute, dismissed; possession of a class D substance over an ounce, continued without finding for six months, $100 costs, $50 VWF (Rowley).

Thomas F. Rago, 41, 10 Sacks Way, Salisbury; assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, one year pretrial probation, no abuse of victim; domestic assault and battery, continued without finding for a year, stay away/no contact with victim, attend Alcoholic Anonymous meetings, inpatient treatment for substance abuse, remain drug- and alcohol-free with random screens, $50 VWF (Salisbury).

Jennifer Michelle Richards, 32, 53 Kenoza St., No. 2, Haverhill; driving while under the influence of alcohol, continued without finding for a year, complete Alcohol Safety Awareness Program, 45-day loss of license, $250 OUI fee, $250 OUI Victims Fund, $250 HIF, $50 VWF; marked lanes, not responsible; speeding, responsible, filed (Amesbury).

Andrew S. Bayko, 54, 100 Beach Road, Apt. 4, Salisbury; charges of armed-masked robbery and possession of a chemical/biological/nuclear weapon hoax incendiary device were both dismissed at Newburyport District Court for indictment and arraignment in Superior Court (Salisbury).

NEWBURYPORT: The following cases were recorded in Newburyport District Court on Monday, Sept. 23, with Judge Mary McCabe presiding over the jury-waived trials.

Kristopher McDonald, 30, 170 Beach Road, Wrentham; driving while under the influence of alcohol, bench trial verdict of not guilty; speeding, not responsible (Salisbury).
