The Parker River Community Preschool (www.parkerrivercommunitypreschool.com) is holding a grand reopening celebration on Saturday, Oct. 20, from 10 a.m. to noon to showcase their expanded facility. All are welcome to visit and explore the expanded classrooms and studio addition at the school, as well as share in music, scarecrow building, canvas painting, snacks and more.

Stop by the town library in October to get a look at the paintings by local artist Linda Balek. Her acrylic and oil paintings range from portraits to animals to landscapes.
