Youth Services seeking program instructors

NEWBURYPORT — The Newburyport Youth Services department is seeking instructors to offer spring and summer programs to youth ages 3 to 18.

Last spring and summer, Youth Services served more than 1,200 youth. Staff are seeking to expand some of last year’s offerings and are hoping to add many new activities.

Spring programs meet once or twice per week during April through June. Summer programs are offered in one week sessions for full or half days. Youth Services staff will oversee advertising and registration for the program, as well as insurance, while offering any additional support. Compensation is competitive for an instructor’s time and hard work.

The deadline for program ideas is Jan. 24. Those interested in submitting a proposal or who want more information should contact Margot Petler, director of recreation and special events at 978-465-4434 or by email
