---- — Unbeknownst to the diminutive, gurgling and hiccuping Graham Lincoln of Methuen, he had the honor of being the first baby born at Anna Jaques Hospital in 2013.
The 8-pound, 14-ounce Graham was welcomed into this world yesterday at 1:47 a.m. much to the delight of sleepy parents, Peter and Jessica Lincoln. Graham joins his 2-year-old sister Quinn and beaming relatives from Lynn and Wakefield.
“I was surprised. I thought it would be busier. But I’m excited, it’s a great birthday,” Jessica Lincoln said, about 12 hours after giving birth to her son.
“Whatever she said is good,” Peter Lincoln added. “Just happy he’s healthy — 10 fingers, 10 toes.”
Jessica Lincoln said upon first glance, her son resembles Quinn when she was born.
“I think he has my nose,” she added.
Most of yesterday was spent welcoming relatives on both sides of the family. Around 1:50 p.m., Peter’s mother, Diane Lincoln of Lynn, came into their hospital room.
“It’s awesome. It’s on my grandfather’s birthday,” Diane Lincoln said, moments before picking up her grandson for the first time. “Oh my God, he’s adorable.”
Asked if they might have any more children, Jessica Lincoln said that topic was still subject to debate. But Peter Lincoln expressed a different opinion altogether.
“No debate. Two is it. Two is good,” Peter Lincoln said, shaking his head.
