Newburyport City Council member to be chosen Monday

Russo, of 182 Northern Blvd, is a lieutenant commander, retired, U.S. Navy. He is program manager for the USAF Electronic Systems Center at Hanscom Air Force Base. He is retiring in February and says he will have more time to contribute to municipal service.

For many years he was a member (and president) of the Newburyport Rotary Club and he has managed publicity efforts for the Yankee Homecoming Committee.

His career includes tenures as a marketing communications manager for companies including General Electric Co. He has also served as a correspondent with The Daily News.

He is a graduate of Northeastern University and has a master’s degree in journalism from Boston University and an MBA from Boston College.

Zinck is a resident of 6 Laurel Road, and has three decades of experience in the healthcare industry, including work in medical billing, coding, resource management and collections.

She currently is a medical practice administrator/manager for Allergy and Asthma Specialists in Chelmsford.

She is a graduate of Newburyport High School and completed a computer application certificate program at Whittier Vo-Tech. She also has taken medical management and billing courses at Northern Essex Community College.

Zinck has been a member of the Board of Registrars for the City of Newburyport since 1997.
