Salisbury seeks new tow company

SALISBURY — The Salisbury Police Department is seeking qualified applicants for its “no preference towing list.”

Interested tow companies may pick up information and an application package at the Salisbury Police Department’s communications center at 24 Railroad Ave. Applications must be submitted to the Police Department by Feb. 1.

The need for a new tow company comes after Simmies, which had served on the tow list for the department and the Town of Salisbury, closed its doors in December, according to local police.

“The Salisbury Police Department would like to thank Simmies Garage for their many years of dedicated service to the town,” a police spokesperson said recently.
