---- — The Budget Committee on Monday night will hold its public hearing on its proposed budget for 2013. The meeting will start at 6 p.m. at Seabrook Community Center on Route 1.
The hearing will focus on the committee’s recommended $18,711,049 budget, which is less than the 2012 budget of $18,853,820.
Selectmen recently approved a default budget of $18,696,705. The default budget will take effect only if voters at the polls March 12 reject the budget proposed by the Budget Committee.
Also on Monday, the Budget Committee will hold a hearing on the proposed Seabrook School District budget.
At 5:30 p.m., the committee will discuss money-related budget questions proposed by selectmen, department leaders or those submitting certified citizens’ petitions requesting money.
The Rand Church Ladies Aid hosts its monthly bean supper tomorrow from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at the 134 South Main St. church. The menu will consist of hot dogs, ham and beans, potato salad and coleslaw, along with homemade desserts including Indian pudding.
The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children.
The Ladies Aid hosts its monthly suppers the second Saturday of each month.
Seabrook Happy Senior Citizens will host a trip to the Danversport Yacht Club on Wednesday, Feb. 20. The excursion includes a meal with a choice of fried chicken or steak, plus entertainment.
The cost is $29; the bus leaves the Recreation Center at 10:30 a.m.
