Winter Gala to raise funds for Pentucket schools

---- — WEST NEWBURY — The Pentucket Education Foundation will host its third annual Winter Gala fundraiser on Saturday, Jan. 26, at 7 p.m. at Veasey Park, 201 Washington St., Groveland.

New to this year’s event include a performance by the band Don’t Call Me Shirley, a display of artwork by local students and a beer tasting offered by local brewery Riverwalk, which will be added to the wine and spirit tastings. A portion of the sale of all wine, beer and spirits at the event will go to support the foundation.

Founded in 2010, the Pentucket Education Foundation seeks to raise money through grants, social events and donations to fund initiatives that make a difference in the education children receive across the Pentucket Regional School District. To date, the foundation has awarded more than $135,000 to support a variety of educational initiatives in Pentucket’s six schools.

Winter Gala tickets are $25 in advance or $30 at the door. Admission includes appetizers with a cash bar.
