Newburyport: The following cases were recorded at Newburyport District Court on Friday, Jan. 18, with Judge Allen Swan presiding over the jury-waived trials:

Derek Doody, 34, 25 Sixth Ave, Haverhill; operating under the influence of liquor, second offense, guilty, 120 days in the house of correction, sentence suspended for two years while on probation, 14 days in inpatient treatment program with aftercare, evaluations by Department of Public Health, two-year loss of license, $600 fine, $150 surfine, $50 Operating Under Intoxication Victim Fund assessment, $250 Head Injury Fund assessment, $50 Victim/Witness Fund assessment; marked lanes violation, responsible; speeding, responsible, $290 fine (Merrimac).

Donald Fortier, 58, 25 Old County Road, Salisbury; uninsured motor vehicle, three months pretrial probation, administrative supervision, $50 VWF; operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration, three months pretrial probation, administrative supervision (Salisbury).

Ngy Meak, 35, 145 Cross St., Apt. 2, Lowell; operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, guilty, $200 fine, $25 surfine, $50 VWF; failure to stop, responsible, filed (Salisbury).

Justin Hickey, 23, 12 West Shore Road, Merrimac; operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration, dismissed after $100 court costs and $50 VWF (Merrimac).

Kristen Demontier and Alexander Laro, both 31, 14 Woodman Way, Apt. 18, Newburyport; larceny over $250 from age 60-plus or disabled person, continued without finding for five years, $13,350 restitution to be paid in monthly increments by each defendant, $90 VWF; forgery of check, dismissed; utter false check, dismissed (Newburyport).

Newburyport: The following cases were recorded at Newburyport District Court on Friday, Jan. 18, with Judge Peter Doyle presiding over the jury-waived trials:

Frank Leatham, 47, 10 Woodman Way, Apt. 21, Newburyport; assault and battery, six months in the house of correction, 24 days to be served with the balance suspended for one year, alcohol=free with random screenings, three Alcoholics Anonymous meetings per week, no abuse of victim (Newburyport).

Richard Howell, 44, 341 Main St., Boxford; operating under the influence of liquor, continued without finding for one year, driver alcohol safety class, 45-day loss of license, $250 HIF, $250 OUI, $50 OUI-V, $50 VWF; marked lanes violation, not responsible; failure to wear seat belt, not responsible (Newbury).
