Snow emergency in place

NEWBURYPORT — A snow emergency and parking ban has been declared in the city of Newburyport through noon today.

City officials are urging residents to assist the Department of Public Services and its snow-removal efforts by keeping parked cars off streets.

Any vehicle left on city streets during the snow emergency is subject to ticketing and or towing.
