Texas Hold 'Em for Newburyport schools

---- — NEWBURYPORT — The Newburyport Education Foundation is set to deal out its third annual Texas Hold

’Em Poker Tournament to benefit the Newburyport Public Schools on Friday, March 15, at 6 p.m. at Newburyport City Hall, 60 Pleasant St.

Guests will enjoy a social happy hour before the tournament begins and a chance to take advantage of complimentary instruction on how to play and strategies for winning provided by the team of professionally trained dealers from 6 to 7 p.m.

Prizes will be awarded to the top 10 finishers. There will also be a 50/50 raffle and silent auction. A cash bar will be available as well as food compliments of Oregano Pizzeria and Ristorante in Newburyport.

Tickets are $100 and available online at www.NewburyportEF.org/poker.shtml or at Oregano on Pleasant Street and Leary’s Fine Wines and Spirits on Merrimac Street (cash and check only). Paid registrations as of Feb. 28 will receive a $25 gift card to Oregano. Seating is limited to the first 100 registrants.
