Live Internet chat Tuesday
A live Internet chat entitled "Keeping pace with today's technology" will take place Tuesday from 2 to 3 p.m. on www.spirituality.com. Whether it's e-mail, Facebook, twittering or lining up for the latest iPhone, almost everyone feels the impact of technology. The speed of technological growth and advancement often outpaces our ability to keep up. Then there's the time investment. For some, a 24-hour break from the BlackBerry would be next to impossible. Others might wish their cell phone would stop ringing — at least for a while. With all of the positive benefits of advancing technology, is it possible to delete the negatives? If you have questions about the impact of technology on your life, this chat will provide helpful answers. Technology doesn't have to be at odds with your spirituality, but rather can offer new opportunities to have a healing influence on the world. This chat is sponsored by the Christian Science church in Boston. Anyone is welcome to participate or just listen in at the Christian Science Reading Room, 50 Pleasant St., Newburyport, 978-465-0286. All chats are archived and will be available 24/7.
