Annual drive for Pentucket scholarships begins

WEST NEWBURY — The Pentucket Regional Scholarship Foundation Annual Donation Drive is under way with appeal letters being mailed out to homes and businesses across the district.

For 54 years, the foundation has offered financial aid and encouragement to Pentucket seniors, last year awarding $70,000 to 68 members of the graduating class.

The goal this year is to raise $30,000 from the community, which will be added to the foundation’s endowment to provide scholarships for the Class of 2013. Scholarships honor local citizens and beloved teachers, as well numerous people who have died before their time.

Contributions to the Pentucket Regional Scholarship Foundation can be sent to P.O. Box 36, Groveland, MA 01834.
