Electronic recycling drop-off tomorrow

Need to get rid of your old electronics? The Newburyport eRecycle Project is promoting electronic waste disposal services by people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Anything with a cord will be accepted as electronics. Note that some items will be charged a small fee. Wednesday, April 10, 9 a.m. to noon at Recycle Center, One Crow Lane. The Beacon Coalition meets tomorrow

The Beacon Coalition will hold their quarterly meeting Wednesday, April 10, at the Kelley School Youth Center. The meeting will begin at 4 p.m. Upcoming events and projects will be discussed, along with a special discussion about K-2/Spice, which is a legal synthetic drug sold in Newburyport. The Beacon Coalition is Newburyport’s collaborative effort to support and strengthen protective factors (assets) in youth. NRTA Spring Luncheon

The May 22 21st semi-annual Newburyport Retired Teachers Association Luncheon invitations have been sent to all members. The Starboard Galley on Water Street will be the place for the semi-annual gathering. Reservations will be accepted until May 13 by Loretta Stafford.

GOP committee meeting Thursday

The Newburyport City Committee’s April Meeting will be held Thursday, April 11, at 7 p.m. at the Starboard Galley, Water Street. The meeting will begin with a brief business meeting followed by the movie, “I Want Your Money,” which is part of the ongoing Conservative Film Series. Daughters of Isabella scholarship

Two $500 scholarships will be presented to two Catholic students (boy or girl) who will be graduating from the 12th grade, public or private, who reside in the greater Newburyport area, who have been accepted at any school of higher education. Preference will be given to the child or grandchild of a member of the Daughters of Isabella. Applications may be secured by contacting Judith Kennedy at 978-465-5042. Application deadline is April 12.
