Orthodoxy on Tap Tuesday in Amesbury

‘SURGE’ for teens on Wednesday

On Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Salisbury Cinemagic Theater, Acquire The Fire & Teen Mania present “SURGE,” a high-energy interactive movie theater event that fuses music, comedy, and inspirational messages. “SURGE” features inspirational messages by Ron Luce interwoven between the comedy of John Gray and musical performances by award-winning Christian artists Casting Crowns, Newsboys, Lecrae and worship artists Acquire the Fire. Italian Dinner Oct. 26 at Pilgrim Church

Plenty of good food and company will be on hand when the Pilgrim Congregational Church hosts an Italian dinner on Saturday, Oct. 26, 4:30-6:30 p.m. All are welcome. Available at the door, tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for children 6-12 years with children under 6 years admitted free of charge. VOTF hosts women and Vatican II talk

The public is invited to St. Rose of Lima Church in Topsfield on Sunday, Oct. 20, from 7-9 p.m. to hear Francine Cardman, Ph.D. from Boston College. Her talk is “Vatican II, Women, and the Church Today.” The lecture will look at the council’s legacy in regard to women: their presence at Vatican II, participation in ecclesial ministries, authority as theologians, changing familial roles and social roles, and the implications that they have for theology and church practice. This presentation will be the second lecture of the faith education series by the North Shore Seacoast VOTF Affiliate in collaboration with Boston College Theology and Ministry School.
