Merrimac Cultural Council seeking grant applications

MERRIMAC — This year, the Merrimac Cultural Council will distribute approximately $4,000 in grants.

In previous years the council has financially supported programs at the Merrimac Public Library and the Merrimac Senior Center, Merrimac Old Home Days, the “Underground Railroad Multidisciplinary Project” at Pentucket High School, the Newburyport Chamber Music and Literary festivals, Theater in the Open and many other organizations and projects.

The Merrimac Cultural Council is part of a network of 329 local cultural councils serving all 351 cities and towns in the commonwealth. Local cultural grant applications are available at the Massachusetts Cultural Council websites or Applicants are requested to send an original and five photocopies of application documents and mail to: Merrimac Cultural Council, c/o Town Hall, 4 School St., Merrimac, MA 01860.
