Hearing Oct. 29 to discuss Fuller Field plans

NEWBURYPORT — City officials will present plans to make field improvements at Bradley Fuller Field on Tuesday, Oct. 29, at 6 p.m. in City Hall auditorium.

While a master plan has been in the works for fields on the Nock-Molin School property as well as across Johnson Street at Bradley Fuller Field, proposed improvements are currently focused on the addition of a 90-foot baseball diamond at Fuller Field.

The city’s Field Space Task Force, headed by Lisë Reid, issued a report in January of this year that listed the addition of two new 90-foot baseball diamonds as topping a prioritized list of athletic field improvements needed in Newburyport. Sports facility designer Sports of Andover, hired earlier this year to create a plan for the school fields, will be on hand, as will city officials, to answer questions and hear feedback from residents at the meeting.
