Blood drive set for Nov. 15

The Salisbury Lions Club and the American Red Cross have partnered to hold a blood drive on Friday, Nov. 15, 1-6 p.m., at the Hilton Senior Center, 43 Lafayette Road.

The Salisbury Lions Club holds a blood drive every two months.

Triton Class of ‘73 looking for classmates

The Triton Class of 1973 will be holding their 40th class reunion Saturday, Nov. 30, at the Wyndham Hotel in Andover. They are still looking for many classmates. If you are one or know of a 19673 graduate, contact Frank Bertolino at 978-255-2941 or email

Coat drive at Pettengill House

The Pettengill House is once again collecting new and gently used coats in clean, good condition for adults and children in need. Sizes needed range from infant to adult, but the greatest need is in the adult extra-large sizes and teen heavy fleece and hoodies winter gear. Donations will be accepted at the Pettengill program room, located at 18 Maple St., Salisbury (same building as Boys and Girls Club) on Wednesdays, Nov. 6, 13, and 20 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information, contact Julie Havey at (978) 463-8801 or

MRFRS seeks volunteers

The Merrimack River Feline Rescue Society (MRFRS), a non-profit, no-kill cat shelter, needs volunteer help for cat care in the Salisbury adoption center, as well as with administrative tasks and special events. Volunteers age 18 and older are also needed for foster care, feral spay/neuter clinics, feral cat trappers, and more. Lions Club collecting winter coats

The Salisbury Lions Club is again participating in the Anton Cleaners “Coats for Kids Project.” The Lions will collect all sizes, good quality used winter coats and winter jackets from infants to adults. They may be left at the Salisbury Senior Center, 43 Lafayette Road (Route 1); Wash & Wags, 8A Beach Road (Route 1A); Tom’s Discount Store, 175 Elm St. (Route 110) and Lena’s Seafood Restaurant, 131 Rabbit Road.
