A story on page 1 yesterday, “A new tradition meets Newburyport veterans,” misidentified the man who donated granite monuments that were recently installed at Brown Square. Richard Banks, a well-known Newburyport philanthropist, was the donor.

A clarification: Recent articles about a drug bust in Salisbury refer to a location at 50 Elm St., where police say the alleged drug sales and distribution were performed out of a fake thrift store. However, there are two thrift stores in the plaza. Mystery Treasures, which is also a thrift store and operates in the same plaza, is in no way involved in this case.
