This Day in History

On this day in 1782, Jonathan Mulliken passed away. He was not only a skillful clock maker, but an ingenious engraver of recognized ability. Most of us are familiar with Paul Revere’s famous image of “The Bloody Massacre,” but few might know about a similar engraving, slightly smaller in size, that was printed from a plate made by Jonathan Mulliken in Newburyport, prior to 1782.
