Local students graduate from Brookwood School

MANCHESTER — Ten Newburyport area residents were among the 56 graduates participating in the 50th commencement exercises held June 11 at Brookwood School

They are Amelia Kroschwitz, Shea Kelly, Lia Swiniarski and Jackson Wotton, all of Byfield; Hannah Gustafson of Newbury; and Emily Patterson, Olivia Gracey, Sam Lincoln, Alaina Robie and Sophia Carlat, all of Newburyport, who were awarded diplomas by Head of School John Peterman, along with Board of Trustees President Nancy Crate and Assistant Head of School Barbara Liston.

Prior to graduation, an awards ceremony was held honoring students who distinguished themselves in different areas of school life. Jackson Wotton was presented with the Carrie Minot Cup, which is “awarded to the eighth-grade athlete who best combines sportsmanship and desire with ability.”

Next fall Amelia Kroschwitz and Emily Patterson will attend Shore Country Day School; Shea Kelly, Lia Swiniarski, Alaina Robie and Jackson Wotton will all go to The Governor’s Academy; Hannah Gustafson will enroll in Phillips Exeter Academy; Olivia Gracey will attend the Pingree School; Sam Lincoln will go to the Waring School; and Sophia Carlat will attend Newburyport High School.
