Police Logs

NEWBURYPORT

The following items were recorded in the Newburyport police log:

Vincente Lomba, 21, 66 West Newton St., Boston, and a 15-year-old juvenile were arrested Saturday at 2:40 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct. At the same time, Steven Dewayne Garnhart, 63, 3 Lt. Leary Drive,. Newburyport, was issued a summons on charges of assault and battery and threat to commit a crime. Officers Megan Muldowney, Keith Carter and Sgt. Howard Adams made the arrests following a 911 call at Walgreen’s Pharmacy, Storey Avenue.

Alan G. LaVoie, 53, 1 Charles St., No. 41, Newburyport, was issued a summons Saturday at 4:09 p.m. on a charge of disturbing the peace. Officer Joshua Tierney issued the summons at James Steam Mill, Charles Street.

James J. Ferguson, 49, 345 Columbia Ave., Depew, N.Y. was issued a summons Saturday at 10:44 p.m. on charges of distributing a class C substance (two counts), distributing a class E substance and conspiracy to violate drug law. Officer Tierney issued the summons at the Green Street police station.

AMESBURY

The following item was recorded in the Amesbury police log:

Meghan MacNichol, 22, 2 Wildewood Drive, Lynnfield, was arrested Friday at 9:26 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol. Officers Craig Lesage, Charles Sciacca and Sgt. Kevin Donovan made the arrest on Pleasant Valley Road.

SALISBURY

The following items were recorded in the Salisbury police log:

Daniel F. Murphy, 55, 23 Fordham Way, Newbury, was issued a summons Friday at 7:52 p.m. on charges of operating a motor vehicle and improper passing. Officer Daniel McNeil issued the summons following a motor vehicle accident on Route 1 near the town’s fire department.

Wendy I. Ayala, 41, 34 Main St., No. 1, Salisbury, was issued a summons Saturday at 1:08 a.m. on charges of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. no inspection sticker and defective exhaust. Officers Richard Dellaria and Keith Forget issued the summons on Main Street.
