Storyhours start soon at Merrimac library

MERRIMAC — Registration has begun for Spring Storyhour at the Merrimac Public Library. Merrimac patrons will be given preference for any available spaces, and non-Merrimac residents will be placed on a waiting list. This six-week storyhour session runs from April 23 to May 30.

Stop by the children’s room or call the library at 978-346-9441 to register a child for one of the following groups:

2- to 3-year-olds: Wednesdays, 10:30 to 11 a.m. or Thursdays, 10:30 to 11a.m.

4- to 5-year-olds: Thursdays, 1 to 2 p.m.

Spring Break program

“Yes I can!” confidence workshop with Ocasio’s True Martial Arts at the Merrimac Public Library on April 18 at 11 a.m.

Leadership coach Joshua Munoz will not only teach a child all the karate moves that kids love, but also boost their self-confidence with centuries-old karate values of honesty, integrity and respect. This 30-minute program is free and open to children ages 5 and up.
