Movies and more at Georgetown library

GEORGETOWN — The following events are planned for April Vacation at the Georgetown Peabody Library:

Explore the World of Eric Carle drop-in craft program. Tuesday, April 16, from 10–noon. Did you ever wonder how he created his illustrations? Take a look at examples of Eric Carle’s art and create your own. This program is for all ages. No registration required.


Bring a pillow are blankets and favorite movie snacks.

Wednesday, April 17, at 3 p.m. “Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey.” This is an adventure story of three domesticated pets — two dogs and a cat — who embark on an extraordinary journey through untamed wilderness to find their way home. Rated G.

Friday April 19 at 1 p.m. “The Hobbit: An Unexpended Journey.” This epic is the first of a trilogy of films adapting the enduringly popular masterpiece “The Hobbit” by J.R.R. Tolkien. Rated PG-13.
