Parker River group joins Clean Sweep

NEWBURYPORT — Parker River Clean Water Association has joined Newburyport Park Commission's Clean Sweep to make and keep Newburyport beautiful. Clean Sweep is on Saturday, April 28, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Meet at Cashman Park at 9 a.m. for a kick-off breakfast and site assignments.

Volunteers who have chosen the Little River Nature Trail are encouraged to park at the Park & Ride lot on Storey Avenue and meet at the sign for the Little River Nature Trail across the street. Participants are asked to bring work gloves, pruning clippers and loppers. Coffee, doughnuts and water will be available. Individuals and families with older children welcome. Garbage bags will be provided.
